Yikes.
Arie kidding me? What a Luyen-piece of [expletive].
On last night’s finale, Arie openly struggled choosing between Becca and Lauren. Honestly, I think that’s what most girls dream of hearing from their almost fiancé “I love you. And the other girl. But also you. I mean. I’m not sure”. Nicholas Sparks might have some new ideas for his next novel!
In the first 2 hours of the 3 hour finale, we watched Lauren profess her love to Arie, only for him to send her home. Then, we watched Becca perform a similar speech, as Arie got down on one knee and declared “I choose you today. And every day. I choose you” as he presented her with the ridiculously extravagant Neil Lane engagement ring and final rose.
I look at my phone – “It’s only 10PM” I say in disbelief, “Doesn’t tonight’s episode go until 11?!”. But wait, there’s more.
Apparently Arie’s Ash/Pikachu Pokémon quote was only applicable for the remaining calendar days in 2017. We learn that a few weeks after filming the finale, Arie can’t get past wanting to be with Lauren.

So, as any gentleman would have it, he invites Becca to a “Happy Couples Weekend” in LA. ABC producers interview Becca as she grins at the bling on her finger and talks about their happy life together. Arie then meets Becca at the hotel, with the entire camera crew in tow, and tells Becca ON CAMERA that he is in love with Lauren and wants to call off the engagement. “Yikes” is an understatement.
Tonight Chris Harrison will host a live interview with Becca, Arie, and Lauren. It promises to be a horribly uncomfortable night to remember. Feel free to tune in.
Folks, it’s been a fun journey. Thanks for “trusting the process” and being “here for the right reasons”. To quote our gal Krystal, “I’m done. GLITTER”.
