2018 Bachelor - Week 6 Update

We had a slow start to the episode as Arie finally lived up to his promise to take the girls on a “journey for love around the world” by branching out beyond second-rate US vacation destinations advertised for in AARP magazines, and spending the week in Paris.

Lauren B and Jacqueline both got 1:1s with week, which was actually fine considering they each had about 20 seconds of face time on the show up until last night’s episode. Jacqueline (who’s a psychiatrist going for her PHD) very fairly asked “Why don’t you gravitate to someone intelligent?” – Warranted question, tbh. I suppose sometimes opposites do not attract.

The group date consisted of 7 women dressing up in next-to-nothing costumes to perform in the Moulin Rouge. I can only imagine how the planning for that date went:

Arie: Guys, fun idea. I want to see the nude bottoms of 7 of my girlfriends in a single date.

ABC Producers: Wow this is brilliant. Let’s make it work.

The highlight of the night, however, was the 2:1 date. (For those unfamiliar with the franchise, 2 girls go on a date with Arie – only 1 comes home! The extraordinarily awkward date is typically marked by watching the Bachelor and his chosen lady walk into the sunset, as camera zooms in on the jilted contestant sitting alone, trying not to cry). Kendall got the rose, sending GLITTER-Krystal home. I’m disappointed – her antics made for good TV.
