Back at it again tonight, and we pick up with the Chris Harrison announcing that the girls will be leaving the mansion the next round of dates. The journey continues with a trip to Cleveland, Ohio... and the girls look about as excited about going to Cleveland as they are for their annual trip to the gynecologist.

*the girls starting to pack to leave the mansion in LA*

Victoria F gets the first one-on-one, and its weird because it seems like she’s just finding new reasons to cry. En route to her date with her PILOT boyfriend, she starts freaking out because they pull into an airport. She shrieks in the limo because she thinks they're going skydiving, and reveals that she is afraid of heights. Apparently in the 2 hour episode, we don’t dive into the fact that she literally just FLEW TO CLEVELAND THE DAY BEFORE WITHOUT ANY DRAMA, but let’s all just pretend like this storyline makes sense.

Victoria’s fears subside because, big surprise, the PILOT just takes her for a plane ride and it’s literally the same date we’ve seen 3 times already, and it’s only week 4.

Peter flies her to Cedar Point, where ABC has rented out an entire amusement park for the day. They ride roller coasters and that giant slingshot ball thing and apparently she’s not scared at all of these heights either. Which heights is she afraid of again?

Peter leads Victoria to a private Chase Rice concert, who of course, is Victoria’s ex-boyfriend. Victoria has a meltdown, while Peter is having the time of his life. ABC producers show off some expert editing skills, as they switch between Victoria’s tearful interviews, and Peter gushing for the camera saying “I don’t know! If everything works out, maybe Chase Rice will sing at our wedding! This is the best date I've ever been on!”

During the dinner portion of the date, Victoria hypes that she has something big to tell Peter, and through tears, reveals that she used to date Chase. Then she leaves the table to go cry in a corner. Me, watching this unfold, ask 3 different group chats wtf I am missing here. You’d expect the conversation to go “LOL dang those producers are slick! I used to date Chase actually. We broke up a few months ago but we both have a lot of respect for eachother. Super awkward for him to sing to us tho” and Peter to respond “Oh haha that’s really awkward” and then immediately move on. Instead we’re subjected to another meltdown that I don’t really understand. Sometime after meltdown #87 of the day, Victoria F gets the rose.

The first group date is pretty uneventful. ABC rents out Cleveland’s football stadium, which per google, is the home of the Cleveland Browns. The girls split into two teams and play full on tackle football to “win” dinner with Peter. It’s pretty fun to watch as the girls hold nothing back. The game ends in a tie, so the date continues with all 13 women.

The evening cocktail party barely gets underway, before Alayah, the psycho girl who got sent home last week, crashes the party. Her squeaky voice is like nails on the chalkboard, but I am pulled back into the drama as Alayah calls frontrunner Victoria P a liar. Alayah crafts an almost believable story, aside from the fact that all the women also hate her.

We never really learn the “truth”, but the drama takes up the rest of the date. Peter invites Alayah back to the house, and simultaneously seriously pisses off his 13 other girlfriends on the date.

The second one-on-one of the episode is with Kelsey. They explore Cleveland and it feels like a date sponsored entirely by the Ohio Tourism Bureau. Legitimately they stop at a food truck to get perogies, and then gush of the exotic and tantalizing culinary flavors of Cleveland. I bet if they tried a corn dog, they’d lose their minds! Also I'm dying to know, who do you think wore it better?

We make it to the final cocktail hour, but everyone is so pissed at Alayah, that there’s no rose ceremony. For folks keeping track at home, we ended this week with more contestants than we started with. Let’s see how it goes next week!
